Music makes my world go round. I don't really know anyone that listens to AC/DC, Lil' Jon, Incubus and Wagner. Music does diferent things for me. It lifts my spirits, prepares me for battle or provides subliminal wisdom. As a big believer in the power of the subconscious and its receptivity; I try to be very careful about the influences I receive. Below are some songs that I like. They are similiar in that they all have positive impacts but they are different in their types of positive influence.
I love this next song by the Crowes because of the guitars and drum cymbals. The lead singers voice is very rhytmic. Lyrics in terms of subliminality are always of critical importance. What I like about the lyrics is that it appears to be a song about being in lovelust (love that is really lust) with someone whose influence is not the best. "Who killed that bird out on you window sill? Are you the reason that he broke his back? Did I see you laugh about that?"
Other lyrics like. "Baby, baby why did you dye your hair? Why you always keeping with your mothers dare? Baby whys whos who, who know you too? Did the other children scold on you?" Indicate adolesecent causes of current challenges faced by the woman in question and why a potential relationship will not provide any remedy. Overall, this song says to me that regardless of chemistry one must find a spiritual and mental compatibility person in order to maintain a nondramatic consistently growth oriented relationship.
Remedy - The Black Crowes
Baby, baby why cant you sit still?
Who killed that bird out on you window sill?
Are you the reason that he broke his back?
Did I see you laugh about that?
If I come on like a dream?
Would you let me show you what I mean?
If you let me come on inside?
Will you let it glide?
Can I have some remedy?
Remedy for me please.
Cause if I had some remedy
Id take enough to please me.
Baby, baby why did you dye your hair?
Why you always keeping with your mothers dare?
Baby whys whos who, who know you too?
Did the other children scold on you?
If I come on like a dream?
Would you let me show you what I mean?
If you let me come on inside?
Will you let it slide?
This song is straight guitar thrash. I love it. There aren't any Downset songs that I don't like. I like this song because it reminds me that the deadliest enemies are from within. It mentions not throwing pearls to swine. It also talks about how the enemy is so transparent. It wraps up by saying take your piece and run, I'll wake up to a new sun. In essence, the enemy is compared to a little scrambling insect taking its piece of a person. Meanwhile, the person in question is in touch with a higher source of eternal, replenishing power. This power is the Sun not the son. These little animals have to take their little piece of you because they have lost touch with the highest power. All in all, this song reminds you to check your people, check who you run with it. Its a great message.
I have personally felt criticism about being to selective in my screening process and wondered myself if perhaps I should open up more. The reality of the situation is that perhaps I may be missing out on some grand opportunity but that likelihood is a statisical minimality for the following reasons. My screening method is not based on wealth, occupation, color, race or religion. However, all of those can be indicators of some sort. My most important indicator is whether or not the person is authentic or fake. If someone is fake to themselves then they can't be real to me whether they would like to or not. I have tolerated fools because they were authentically foolish with no ill intent. A fool with good intent may accidentally do unintentionl harm but will otherwise act on your behalf with the best intent. Its a somewhat slippery slope that requires similiar management to that of training a dog. A strong choke chain is required. Even that fool, if they have to many accidents, will have to be instructed. The fake people and liars will never act on your behalf. You can't trust'em.
Also, I can't stand people who run their fu#$@n mouths all the time; especially really loud people. I flee from them and can't wait to get out of their presence.
Everyone at sometimes is subject to a bit of overexuberance, myself included. The people I am talking about are the ones that are always loud, running their mouths and invading your personal space. I can only think of one thing around these type of people if I am unable to escape from their presence. Shut the f--k up, lower your voice and get the fuck out of my face. The other type of people that irritate or annoy me are people who can't accept my silence. Sometimes I don't want to talk. Get over it. These people are in the same class as those who are over jovial with me. They like to slap me on the back real hard or give me dap with some furious grip. With these people I always slap em back on their back which usually sends them into shock. They look at me like "what the fuck!" I'm thinkin' you just slapped the shit out of me. It's your fault for tryin' to slap a 230-240# 5'11 guy like you own him. There are always consequences for being an idiot.
Anyway, it's always good to check your people.
DOWNSET-CHECK YOUR PEOPLE
Make it back y'all
Haha, check me out
My enemies is in too motherfuckin' close, cut throat, zone association cold like stone, who'm I gettin' with, too connected with infected kids, who ain't done shit but strip my kit, can't believe what I see, sickening scenery, in the heat of things you won't be with me so flee my team, bloodsucker, yo, you think you got me ruffed up, you ain't got the stuff to cut my gut, what's up, check your people, check your camp, check your camp, check your people, check your people, check your camp, check your camp, check your people
Check 'em what I got
Who's got me like that, who's true like that, who's got my back in this pivotal pack of masks, bail my people outta lock up cause I got love when they caught up, will I get my grands back, testin' where they're hearts at, dead first before betrayal to my main network, visible signals, what's the move, cut 'em loose, check your people, check your camp, check your camp, check your people, check your people, check your camp, check your camp, check your people
Slipping and falling I threw my pearls to swine, I parted my fruit to squandering flesh, who chase prestigious design, I guess that's what I get, a fool is dangerous company, who brings much regret
[x2] You
Are so transparent [x2]
You are so transparent
You're so transparent
Transparent, take your piece and run, I'll become whole again with the sight of a new sun, take your piece and run, I'll become whole again with the sight of a new sun, you played me again, you played me again
Keep it real y'all
Check your people, check your camp, check your camp, check your people, check your people, check your camp, check your camp, check your people
Watch out, who you run with.
I like this next song because its lyrics are rare. It deals with metaphysics, spirtual realms, spiritual and mental warfare. It deals with this warfare for righteousness on a global scale. I personally am beyond seeing things in a Satanic verse Godly method but I know what they mean. To me when you say Satanic it equals "shit I don't want to happen to me". When I say Godly it equals "stuff I want to happen to me". I believe in karma, justice and ultimate judgement. When any or all of those three manifest in my existence I want to be on the "Godly" side of all of them. Call it long term planning if you will. ;D
DOWNSET-EYES SHUT TIGHT
Come with the bloody moon and the chaos,
Gog and magog triple six reigns over spirits lost.
Satanic nations and thrones reign and slay,
but solid is super-souls love and righteous pathways,
Asking me why I ain't down with the bloodshed,
wicked fool we approve of lies as eternal truth,
Worship the mark of the beast demonic feast,
Seven the seals sacred faith no need to pack steal,
No geed-up rap anywhere up and on me,
Strictly KRS, Public Enemy, Bob Marley, Mad ups to MLK and the infintie Ghandi,
Doom to the demons that dominate all around me.
Deep in the soul fool,
you know you aint right running around with your eyes shut tight!
I know what it's like to not want to see the sunrise,
So shattered the pictures on fire, the winter never lies,
but that chemical won't allways keep the empty space full,
Bludgeon corrode desecrate the body temple,
Half the fools we know yes they sick style sprung,
Deeper and further from ourselves I have always watched us run,
From the family perspective yes I've watched the dope wreck shit,
Deep veteranos, Tequatos fool this childhood knows!
Deep in the soul,
Fool you know you ain't right going around with them eyes shut tight!
Further away from ourselves! Further away from the truth!
You can throw the set in the sky,
But the eternal majestic Mount Zion you can't deny.
A gat, a clip, a hollow-tip with your name on it,
loving to trip but one day you'll get caught up and slip!
So cheap a death but my brother so precious is life,
speaking the language of fratracidal sights,
You do like Cain did Able you love to watch your brother's blood,
Flow fool tell me no! Spirit so cold! Denial!
What can I say about GZA and the 4th Chamber. Either you get or you don't. That ish is real!
Genius/GZA 4th Chamber
Choose the sword, and you will join me
Choose the ball, and you join your mother... in death
You don't understand my words, but you must choose
*baby gurgling*
So... come boy, choose life or death
Verse One: Ghostface Killah
The only man I hold wake for
Is the sky-blue Bally kid, in eighty-three, rocked Taylor's
My Memorex performed tape decks, my own phone sex
Watch out for Haiti bitches, I heard they throw hex
Yo, Wu whole platoon is filled with rac-coons
Corner sittin wine niggaz sippin Apple Boone, this ain't no white cartoon
Cuz I be duckin crazy spades
The kid hold white shit, like blacks rock ashy legs
Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet?
Why did Judas rat to Romans while Jesus slept? Stand up
You're out of luck like two dogs stuck
Iron Man be sippin rum, out of Stanley Cups, unflammable
Noriega, aimin knives which stay windy in Chicago
spine-tingle, mind boggles
Kangols in rainbow colors, promoters try to hold dough
Give me mine before Po, wrap you up in so-and-so
I ran the Dark Ages, Constantine and great Henry the Eighth
Built with Ghengis Khan, the wreck suede wiley Don
Verse Two: Killah Priest
I judge wisely, as if nothin ever surprise me
Loungin, between two pillars of ivory
I'm lively, my dome piece, is like buildin stones in Greece
my poems are deep from ancient thrones I speak
I'm overwhelmed, as my mind, roams the realm
My eye's the vision, memory is the film
Others act sub-tile, but they fragile above clouds
They act wild and couldn't budge a crowd
No matter how loud they get, though they growl and spit
Clutch they fists, and throw up signs like a Crip
And throw all types of fits
I leave em split, like ass cheeks and ragged pussy lips
Verse Three: The RZA
Aiyyo, camoflouge chameleon, ninjas scalin your buildin
No time to grab the gun they already got your wife and children
A hit was sent, from the President, to rage your residence
Because you had secret evidence, and documents
On how they raped the continents, and it's the prominent
dominant Islamic, Asiatic black hebrew
The year two thousand and two, the battle's filled with the Wu
Six million devils just died from the Bubonic Flu
Or the Ebola Virus, under the reign of King Cyrus
You can see the weakness of a man right through his iris
Un-loyal snakes get thrown in boilin lakes
of hot oil, it boils your skin, chickenheads gettin slim
like Olive Oyl, only plant the seed deep inside fertile soil
Fortified with essential, vitamin and mineral
use the sky for a blanket, stuffin clouds inside my pillow
Rollin with the Lands, the tribe's a hundred and forty four thousand chosen
Protons Electrons Always Cause Explosions
Verse Four: The Genius/GZA (Maximillion)
The banks of G, all CREAM downs a vet
Money feed good, opposites off the set
It ain't hard to see, my seeds need God-degree
I got mouths to feed, unnecessary beef is more cows to breed
I'm on some tax free shit by any means
Whether bound to hit scheme or some counterfeit CREAM
I learned much from such with cons who run scams
Veterans got the game spiced like hams
And from that, sons are born and guns are drawn
Clips are fully loaded, and then blood floods the lawn
Disciplinary action was a fraction of strength
that made me truncate the length one tenth
with the stump, treat his hips like air pumps
RZA shaved the track, niggaz caught razor bumps
Scarred tryin to figure who invented
this unprecented, opium-scented, dark-tinted
Now watch me blow him out his shoes without clues
Cuz I won't hesitate to detonate my short fuse
GZA/Genius GOLD
Intro: Method Man
Aiyyo Shorty, yo that's my word
Oh, y'all smellin y'all piss now y'all think y'all gold
Yo anybody get caught playin
Over here, I'm returnin em that's my word that they be blasted
Anything from two-twenty to one-forty, that's mine
Y'all need to step the fuck off
Y'all niggaz ain't crazy for real
Chorus: Genius
Yo, the fiends ain't comin fast enough
There is no cut that's pure enough
I can't fold, I need gold, I re-up and reload
Product must be sold to YOU
Verse One: Genius
I'm deep down in the back streets - in the heart of Medina
About to set off something more deep than a misdemeanor
Under the subway, waiting for the train to make noise
So I can blast a nigga and his boys - for what?
He pushed up on the block and made the dope sales drop
Like the crashin of Dow Jones stock
I had to connect to cross seals, to catch more mil's
Than ho-bitches got birth control pills
I'm in the park, settin up a deal over blunt fire
Bum niggaz sleepin on the bench, they had em wired
Peeped my convo, the address of my condo
And how I changed a nigga name to John Doe
And while we set up camp, we got Vamp
Put the stake through his heart, I ripped his fucking fangs apart
Snake got smoked on the set like Brandon Lee
Blown out the frame, like Pan Am flight 103
He got swung on, his lungs was torn, the
kingpin just castled with his rook and lost a pawn
A regular on the block, and played look-out
For playing predator with a glock, he should have took out
Chorus:
No neighborhood is rough enough
There is no clip that's full enough
I can't fold, I need gold, I re-up and reload
Product must be sold to YOU.. yo
Fiends ain't comin fast enough
There is no cut that's pure enough
I can't fold, I need gold, I re-up and reload
Product must be sold to YOU
Verse Two: Genius
It's mandatory that
I supply all my troops with mega firearms
Big apes, and spread em out like crops on a farm
to get CREAM, sometimes they repaint the scene
Like the last episode on gates and other niggaz
plant bombs til the smoke from the blast becomes thick
and flows through all they knew, he's gun sick
His glock clicks, like high-heeled shoes on parquay floors
Mad sick, stand on hills and invade wars
Filthy foul, shoveling dirt, he's out to hurt
For instance, chop off hands, attack worth
His idols would lock down airports and extort
some import, catchin ten percent of what the fiends snort
Up in the ski resorts, up in hills
They move keys and had skis making drops on snowmobiles
The plan was to expand, catch seven figures, release triggers
And live large and bigger than my nigga
Who promised his moms a mansion with mad rooms
She died, and he still put a hundred grand in her tomb
Open wounds, he hid behind closed doors
And still organized his crime and drug wars
Chorus:
Fiends ain't comin fast enough
There is no cut that's full enough
I can't fold, I need gold, I re-up and reload
Product must be sold to YOU
No neighborhood is rough enough
There is no clips that's full enough
I can't fold, I need gold, I re-up and reload
Product must be sold to YOU
The peers that come is tight enough
There is no niggaz that's fuckin up
I can't fold, I need gold, I re-up and reload
Product must be sold, to YOU
